About the event

Come and spend a glorious early-autumn evening with us on the 17th of September; graciously hosted this time by Amazon, in their amazing new city offices opposite the train station.

The Speakers

We have a great line-up of speakers for this evening including:

Catherine Breslin, Manage, Machine Learning at Amazon Alexa

Catherine leads Amazon Cambridge’s Alexa AI team. Since completing her PhD at the University of Cambridge, she has commercial and academic experience of automatic speech recognition, natural language understanding and human-computer dialogue systems.

Sue Keogh, Director, Sookio

Sue has been producing content for the web since 1997, working for all the UK's broadcast media heavyweights - BBC, ITV, Yahoo and AOL. She founded Sookio in 2008, and it's now an award-winning digital marketing agency focusing on content creation, strategy and training.

The Network

In line with our current theme of ‘Communication’ we have scheduled time after twilight dedicated to networking and cross-pollination of ideas over a few glasses of wine in Amazon's exciting new offices. There will be several streams with different themes and we are planning casual ice-breaker activities and structured discussions during this portion of the evening for those who’d like a little help on each problem.

On registration, please select what theme most interests you so we can create some groups for each discussion.
